SMC Networking Night is an annual event hosted in the Fall by the School of Mass Communication. The purpose of the event is to provide internship and job opportunities to young professionals.

For SMC Networking Night 2015, the Event Planning course at Loyola planned the event. The team split into social media, logistics and design teams to better focus on the task. Taylor was apart of the logistics team that wrote content for promotional marketing material using the selected spy theme. The team also organized the event by setting an agenda for the event and contacted professionals to attend.

The event was evaluated by surveys collected at the event. The common consensus was that the event was a success and was one of the best Networking Night events. The theme was especially popular among the participants.

In 2016, the SMC Networking Night Planning Team won the Gold Award from Hermes Creative Awards. The planning team was recognized for their creativity involved with the promotional content, public relations writing and the designs made to promote the event.
